Strongarm, a simple and affordable way to automatically stop cyberattacks from damaging businesses, today introduced its partner program to help managed service providers (MSPs) and value-added resellers (VARs) confidently offer their small and mid-sized business (SMB) customers high-value security services that go beyond firewalls and antivirus solutions. With the Strongarm Partner Program, information technology (IT) providers of all sizes who were not able to offer their customers advanced security protections and incident response services based on the complexity and burden on their resources, can now protect their clients using Strongarm’s simple, automated and affordable security offering.

“Our SMB customers know they need another layer of protection beyond their current antivirus and firewalls, but the pricing and complexity of many solutions just don’t work,” said Jeremy Murtishaw, CTO of Fortify 24×7. “Fortify Phishing Protection (FP2), powered by Strongarm, is the ideal blend of best-of-breed protection and cost. The simplicity of the solution enables Fortify 24×7 to protect customers of all sizes.”

The elements of the Strongarm Partner Program include:

  • Hands-on setup and deployment support from Strongarm’s security team
  • Email support to assist in triaging and investigating potential infections or attacks
  • Pre-sales support, including demos, trials and proof-of-concept to facilitate sales
  • Marketing and sales support to launch and sell the service
  • White label option for MSPs via a customized “block page”
  • Access to Strongarm Insights: a domain name system (DNS) reporting tool which shows popular URL requests and categories

“Strongarm can help MSPs and resellers win new SMB clients with differentiated, high-value security services that automatically block threats that hit their clients’ networks,” said Joel Silberman, senior vice president of business development and strategy at Strongarm. “Every partner we have deals with ‘happy clickers’ at their clients who repeatedly click on malicious links. Strongarm protects the MSP’s clients from these clicks, and liminates the need for the MSP to spend time triaging and cleaning up after the event. Strongarm also helps MSPs educate their customers about how to be more careful about whether to open email links.”

For MSPs that want to deploy Strongarm to their current customers, the company offers a special, one-year Jumpstart Package. For a low flat fee, MSPs can roll out Strongarm to an unlimited number of their current clients. The Jumpstart Package gives MSPs access to all of the benefits of the Strongarm partner program and an easy way to introduce the benefits of Strongarm.

“Strongarm strengthens the security posture we offer our customers. The simple deployment model and attributes of the Jumpstart program allow us to quickly deploy the solution to existing customers,” said David Ruchman, CTO at powersolution.com. “Strongarm paves the way to grow our customer base with high-value security solutions.”

Using Strongarm, IT providers can protect their SMB clients from threats that slip past antivirus protection and firewalls, including ransomware, exploit kits, phishing, malvertising, and other forms of malware, while reducing the time spent on alerts, reporting and resolution. Deploying at customers in under 10 minutes as a Software as a Service (SaaS (NewsAlert)) offering, there are no appliances, software, or agents to install. Strongarm stops and remediates malware automatically and provides alerts on potential infections without the need to comb through logs.

SMBs are a growing market for cybersecurity services and they are increasingly a target for cybercriminals. Forty-three percent of targeted cyberattacks are aimed at SMBs and 60 percent go out of business within six months of a cyberattack, according to Small Business Trends1.
