I wrote this article to help you remove War Thunder Virus. This War Thunder Virus removal guide works for Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer.
War Thunder is advertised as a free gaming platform but what it actually is, is an adware infection. It does not help you play any games for free. In fact, all it does is causing you troubles. It would be best if you delete the deceitful program from your machine ASAP. Adware pieces don’t make for pleasant tenants. They are extremely annoying and perfectly capable of destroying your previously enjoyable online experience. Yes, that’s why they do. War Thunder is no different. Like all adware, it is ad-supported. This means that the pest bombards you with tons of highly questionable ads in order to help its developers make effortless pay-per-click revenue.
Every time you go online, you get flooded with banners, deals, pop-ups, in texts, video ads, etc. and etc. and if you click on any of them, hackers make money. At your expense. Each of your clicks fills their pockets. But do you know what else each of your clicks does? It puts you in danger of getting infected with more malware. As we said, the ads are very questionable. Some of them are, without a doubt, malicious and conceal infections and a single click is all it takes for you to invite said infections on board. Surfing the Web turns into a nightmare. Ads are coming from everywhere. You see changes made in your browsers` settings. You get redirected to the WarThunder.ru and other suspicious pages all the time. Getting any work done under such conditions becomes an impossible task.
Aside from that, though, your machine also suffers. The above-mentioned interruptions don’t go unnoticed by your PC. It slows down significantly. Some older machine may even crash completely. Your browsers also freeze due to the never-ending ad bombardment. You may even have problems establishing a strong Internet connection. And all of this so that crooks can make money and use you as a sponsor. How do you feel about that? But even if you have nerves of steel and somehow you are able to tolerate the adware`s shenanigans, there is something that you simply cannot ignore.
The War Thunder Virus
The infection puts your privacy at risk by monitoring your every move and recording everything. Not only that but once the adware deems it has enough data it sends it to the hackers that published it. These strangers with agendas can use your credentials for whatever they want. They can exploit your data for their own malicious purposes. Or, they can sell it to third parties. Either way, you end up in jeopardy. Unless you do something, of course. Delete the adware from your computer as soon as possible. To get rid of it manually, use our removal guide at the end of this article.
How did War Thunder enter? With the help of trickery and deceit, of course. The pest needs your permission to be installed and it uses tactics to get it. Usually, adware turns to bundled program to dupe you. Be extra careful when installing bundles. Opt for the Advanced settings in the Setup Wizard instead of the Basic ones. This way you are presented with a list of all the extra programs which are about to be installed alongside the program you originally wanted. We suggest you deselect all of them. The Advanced settings give you this option while the Basic turn the process into an automatic. Get rid of everything unnecessary and then you can still finish installing the program you wanted in the first place. Don’t let crooks trick you. Take a few extra minute to be vigilant and you can prevent the intruder on the spot.
