I wrote this article to help you remove Searchby.net. This Searchby.net removal guide works for Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer.
Searchby.net is a malicious website. If you see it every time you open one of your browsers, be prepared. The page is a clear sign that something is not right. Your machine is not safe anymore. Nor is it infection-free. It harbors an infection. There is a nasty browser hijacker on your PC and the appearance of the Searchby.net site is your clue of its existence. Take immediate measures against it. Hijackers don’t make for pleasant tenants. On the contrary. All they do is cause tons of problems and grievances. The longer the pest stays, the more issues you face.
These issues grow in severity as well. If you want to protect your safety, delete the intruder the first chance you get. As we said, Searchby.net is your clue. Heed it. As soon as you spot the page taking over your online activities, accept that you are hosting an infection and start looking for a way out. Find the exact spot the hijacker is lurking from and remove. Do not ignore the risk this parasite poses to you and your machine. Act promptly. If you let it be, it will eventually get out of control and your predicament will go from bad to worse.
The hijacker makes a mess of your browsing. It meddles all the time and it makes completely unauthorized reshuffles in your browsers` settings. These reshuffles have consequences. The Searchby.net is an example. This page is now your new homepage and search engine and you cannot surf the web without it interrupting your every move. You open your browser, it is there. You open a new tab, it is also there. You try loading your favorite website and somehow you get redirected back to Searchby.net. There is no escape from this plague. But there is more. The Searchby.net is not the only shady site you are forced to visit against your will.
The Searchby.net Virus
The hijacker redirects you all the time. These redirects generate web traffic and the crooks behind the utility get paid. This is called the pay-per-click mechanism. Hackers make money at your expense. Yet, there is something even worse. You are not only sponsoring these people but you are also exposing yourself to daily malware risk. Nothing you see because of the hijacker can be trusted. Not the sites, not the ads, nothing. Of course, there are ads. Numerous ads. Your previously enjoyable and safe online experience is effectively destroyed thanks to the hijacker. Why keep it? It only causes problems. Delete it and everything will get back to normal. To remove it manually, use our removal guide at the end of this article.
Once your machine is clean, make sure it stays that way. Do your best to protect your PC better in the future. Stay away from dodgy sites and unverified torrents. Use reliable download sources only. Do not blindly click on every shiny ad that appears on your screen. Do not open emails from people you don’t know. Do not download their attachments. When installing programs or updates, be extra careful and pay attention to what you agree to.
Never skip the Terms and Conditions unless you want to agree to something you are totally against. Read the fine print as it may hide some misleading clauses. Always be vigilant. Infections cannot get in without your permission that’s why they use the above-mentioned method to trick you. Be smarter. No infiltration technique is good enough to work without your consent. Don’t grant it lightly. It is always easier to prevent an infection than to deal with it later on.
